Four new interactive training units have been added to our online Training Portal. Following on from Level 1 training videos, the new modules are designed to help members gain a more thorough understanding of aerosol regulations, transport, labelling and safety.
BAMA has created a platform that encompasses a variety of learning tools and resources, including workbook exercises, interactive videos and diagrams, and downloadable materials. To help consolidate learning, knowledge checker tools and learning logs have also been incorporated.
“Our main aims of Level 2 are to take four critical aspects of aerosol knowledge to a more granular level while at the same time, make learning as accessible as possible. We are conscious that, not unlike others, our industry is swiftly developing and our members want and need access to structured and comprehensive training that can be completed at their own pace.” says Patrick Heskins, Chief Executive of BAMA.
Level 2 training unit’s cover:
- Aerosol Dispensers Regulations: from compliance and legal obligations and responsibilities, to assessing hazards and pack testing
- Flammability in the Aerosol Factory including factory hazards, controlling flammable materials and understanding risk management
- Transport of Aerosol Dispensers by road, rail, sea and air which covers dangerous goods regulations, the regulatory framework, packaging aerosols for transportation
- Labelling of Aerosols to gain knowledge of the labelling requirements for aerosol containers, an understanding of different labels and markings and mandatory Vs voluntary labelling.
Working alongside BAMA on the development of the website, Richard Barry from Forty49 says: “Perfecting the user experience by ensuring an intuitive flow of information and prompts were at the heart of our ambition for the new units.”
BAMA’s Technical Manager, Peter Watmough, comments: “We wanted to ensure the content was as relevant as possible which is why the topics covered in the units represent answers to the most popular questions we get asked at BAMA.
He adds: “While the new units are for our members, we also have numerous resources available for non-members on our website and invite them to join our regular and free BAMA Basics webinars.”
