On-site Aerosol Training Tailored to Your Team

It’s not always possible to send staff far and wide for training, but your team still needs specialist knowledge and skills to perform at their best.

We understand this at BAMA, which is why we offer an on-site option for our key training courses: Labelling of Aerosols; Safe Handling of Aerosol Propellants, Warehousing of Aerosols, and our Aerosol Technology Course. These courses are delivered at your location at a time that best suits your staff and can be tailored to your specific company needs.

What’s covered by our in-company training?

The in-company training course content is the same as that delivered at the BAMA Offices in Stevenage. Here’s what you can expect:

  • The Aerosol Technology course has a comprehensive itinerary covering tinplate and aluminium aerosols, plastic containers, valves and clinch calculation, propellants, formulations and can selection, before moving on to sustainability, factory regulations, and filling.

  • For the Safe Handling of Propellants course, there’s a large range of topics covered, from properties of flammable propellants and common causes of fire, propellant delivery and storage, aerosol factory hazardous zones classification, the delivery of propellant to the filling line, detection of gas in the gassing room and explosion suppression. The second half of the course covers machine settings to prevent leaking cans, static electricity, hot water bathing, and preventative measures.

  • The Labelling of Aerosols course begins with an introduction to what an aerosol dispenser is before examining Aerosol Dispenser Regulations; testing and classification of aerosols (including pack testing and flammability classification), statutory labelling, weights and measures, product safety provision and safety data sheets, and other requirements.

  • The Warehousing of Aerosols course begins with a look at the hazards of storing aerosols and the regulatory framework. It then moves on to designing a safe aerosol warehouse, e.g. segregation, ventilation, and racking. The final part focuses on operating a safe aerosol warehouse, process safety performance indicators, and assessing the risk of a Vapour Cloud Explosion (VCE).

What about the cost?

If you are a BAMA member, the cost of an in-company training course that covers an unlimited number of delegates at one site is £500+VAT per day, plus travel expenses. If you are not a member, then the cost rises to £2000 +VAT per day, plus travel expenses.

If you are looking for a bespoke session delivered by aerosol industry experts that’s convenient and cost-effective, then please reach out to the BAMA team, who will be able to give you more information on the course itinerary, content, and available dates.
