The Module sets out requirements and provides guidance for safe disposal of aerosols, including damaged and leaking aerosols.  It also provides a framework to demonstrate 'duty of care' for the treatment and disposal of these waste aerosols.  The Module applies the Waste Hierarchy by promoting the selection of waste treatment options that recover all usable materials from the waste aerosols i.e. metal and plastic components, ingredients with a usable calorific value etc. prior to final disposal of residues.
