Aerosols are pressurised containers and are classified as ‘dangerous goods’ for transport under the Carriage of Dangerous Goods Regulations. However, if correctly packaged and marked they may take advantage of the relaxed provisions for transport in ‘Limited Quantities’. Persons responsible for consigning aerosols must be appropriately trained.
BAMA’s Transporting of Aerosols Webinar is an introduction for anyone who has not yet attended the full Transport of Aerosols course or a ‘refresher’ for anyone who has been on the course previously. It will provide awareness of the requirements for transporting aerosols in limited quantities and is designed to be a taster for the Full Day’s course delivered for BAMA by an expert from the UK Department of Transport.
Who should attend?
Employees who have undergone ‘appropriate training’ and who wish for ‘a refresher’, and those who would like to have an ‘awareness of the requirements for packaging, labelling and documents of aerosols transported as dangerous goods in limited quantities any employee involved in consigning aerosols for transport by road, rail, sea or air. The webinar covers both UK domestic and international deliveries.
**Please note** that this Webinar does not fulfil the requirements of appropriate training. You must attend BAMA's Transporting of Aerosols Course.
